The KCCA was founded in 1994. In
addition to organising regular events for former choristers, choral
scholars and organ scholars, the Association also seeks to provide up to
date information on concerts and other choir activities, which we hope
will be of great interest to members and non-members alike.
We will soon have a new website but, in the meantime, this page will keep you informed about future
events.
Saturday 18 June, 12.30pm onwards, Summer Event & AGM (Cambridge)
This year's Summer Event, which once again takes place in the lavish settings of the Saltmarsh Rooms, will begin with a drinks reception and sit-down buffet luncheon, after which there will be an opportunity to hear from and meet the new Dean, the Revd Dr Jeremy Morris. Following the AGM, which may of course be attended separately, members and their guests will be treated to some musical entertainment before breaking for coffee. Later in the afternoon, the music for Evensong includes
Ley King Henry VI's Prayer,
Howells St Paul's Service and
Wesley Ascribe unto the Lord.
12.30pm – 1.00pm: Welcome Drinks in the Saltmarsh Rooms.
1.00pm – 2.00pm: Two-course buffet luncheon with wine, tea and coffee.
2.15pm – 3.00pm: AGM (still in Saltmarsh Rooms and may be attended separately).
3.00pm – 4.00pm: Musical Interlude.
4.00pm – 5.15pm: Break (tea and coffee available nearby).
5.30pm – 6.15pm: Evensong (
Ley King Henry VI's Prayer,
Howells St Paul's Service,
Wesley Ascribe unto the Lord).
The cost for members and their guests is £35, which includes the welcome drinks and a two-course buffet luncheon with wine, tea and coffee. There is no need to send payment in advance, although we do need to know exact numbers (and any special dietary requirements) in order to arrange the catering. If you wish to attend, please contact Simon Tottman via e-mail (
membership@kccaonline.org) by Wednesday 15 June.
